MROUND vs Ceiling

MROUND Vs Ceiling Formula

These two formulas are the options you have for making your template calculate weights.  Both are entered into Excel the exact same way, but the difference is the MROUND formula will round up or down to the nearest determined decimal, whereas the CEILING formula will round up to the nearest determined number.  See the example for how to use the formula.

=CEILING(EXERCISE MAX*TRAINING %,NEAREST TO ROUND TO)

In our template, we will use this formula like this:

=CEILING($A$20,D20,5)

This template will look up the determined max in cell A20, multiplied by the training % in D20, and round it to the nearest 5.  Both MROUND and CEILING are used completely interchangeably in the formula, so use whichever is more appropriate for your team!
